With more than 45 years of experience, the School of Chemical Engineering (ETSEQ) of the Universitat Rovira Virgili is one of the leading university schools in Europe in the academic, business and research fields of chemical and mechanical engineering. Located on the Sescelades campus, in pleasant surroundings a few minutes from the centre of Tarragona, and in the sphere of influence of one of the most important business areas of the Mediterranean chemical sector, ETSEQ uses a teaching method adapted to current demands with a wide range of training possibilities.
The ETSEQ is a modern and up-to-date school, with prestige, experience and reputation, which focuses on the reality of the moment, and responds to the needs of society. As a result, ETSEQ was awarded the Premio Vicens Vives in 2001,2006 and 2015, one of the most important awards for teaching quality, for the project "Laboratories 2.0: improvement in learning outcomes through TAC tools in laboratories of the Mechanical Engineering degree" and with the "Global Chemical Engineer" award given by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport in 2002. The ETSEQ was also awarded the María Antonia Ferrer Distinction in 2019 following the organization of Girl's Day.
