ETSEQ: Excellence in Research and Innovation
The URV School of Chemical Engineering (ETSEQ) is a benchmark in leading research projects with industrial and business applications. With a multidisciplinary approach, it promotes advances in areas such as environmental technology and sustainable chemistry, biomolecular engineering, nanotechnology, bioengineering and bioelectrochemistry. Other notable fields include food technology, molecular simulation, fluid mechanics and turbulence, energy revaluation and cooling, as well as chemical products and processes, catalysis and materials science.
The quality and impact of the research groups of the Departments of Chemical and Mechanical Engineering of the ETSEQ are recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. These groups develop more than 40 projects per year, attracting more than 4.1 million euros through research, training and collaboration activities with public and private entities.
Every year, the ETSEQ contributes significantly to the international scientific and industrial community with more than 150 conference papers and more than 165 articles published in indexed journals. This commitment to innovation and knowledge transfer consolidates the ETSEQ as an engine of progress and sustainability at the service of society.
The Departments
The professors and researchers of the ETSEQ carry out their research activity in the departments of Chemical Engineering (DEQ) and Mechanical Engineering (DEM). This task is carried out mainly through research groups, which constitute the basic research unit and are responsible for addressing high-impact scientific and technological projects in various areas.
In addition, the ETSEQ research is reinforced with the collaboration of several research centers, creating synergies that enhance the interdisciplinarity and use of advanced infrastructures. This integration ensures that the advances generated have a significant impact on both the academic and industrial and social spheres.
