What is the Dow Award?

The Dow Award, created in 1978 and currently in its 48th year, recognizes Master in Chemical Engineering (MEQ) students who excel in the application of key academic and personal competencies. The award offers winners a unique opportunity to start a professional career at Dow, either in Tarragona or in other European locations.

This distinction recognizes not only the academic competencies, but also the personal skills of final year MEQ students.

Over the years, Dow Award recipients have become managers, technical leaders, researchers, teachers and role models in the chemical industry, contributing not only to Dow's growth, but also to the development of the scientific and industrial community.

For the Winner:
The winner of the Dow Award enjoys public recognition at an official event, in addition to securing a position as an engineer at Dow. This opportunity also opens doors to professional vacancies across Europe, providing a unique platform to start a prominent career.

For the Finalists:
Finalists receive public recognition and the opportunity to participate in selection processes within Dow, gaining valuable experience for their future careers.

Selection Process

  1. First Phase: Interview with Dow professionals (50%).
  2. Second Phase: Presentation and interview with the ETSEQ-Dow jury (50%) on the topic "Risks in the Chemical Industry and Prevention Measures".
