An industrial technical engineer from the University School of Terrassa (1976), he was elected dean of the Tarragona Association of Industrial Technical Engineers between 2001 and 2014.
He is currently deputy secretary of the Executive of the General Council of Official Graduate Associations and Industrial Technical Engineers, which consists of more than 90,000 registered engineers from 50 professional associations in Spain. In this role, he leads the commission for the professional civil liability insurance of engineers, to adapt and improve insurance cover in accordance with legislative and regulatory changes.
He has worked as a teacher in secondary education at the Comte de Rius Institute in Tarragona, specializing in electronic systems. He has edited technical books on electronics and telecommunications for training.
