Joan Carles Olucha. Joan Carles was born in the province of Tarragona in 1967, he is married with two children and has lived and worked in Germany for the past five years. He is linked to the URV in various ways: He trained as an industrial chemist between 1985 and 1990, and was an adjunct lecturer for a few years, an experience that allowed him to once again enjoy contact with university life and to contribute to intensifying contact between university and industry.
Professionally, he has always been connected to BASF, where he began his career in 1990 after his student internship. He has held various positions in production: deputy manager of the Energy and Environment plant, plant manager and, from 2006 to 2011, production manager at the Tarragona factory. In Germany, he has held two positions at different BASF sites to date. His current position is vice-president responsible for the Production and Operational Logistics at the BASF site in Schwarzheide, between Dresden and Berlin.
He is honoured to be able to contribute the local and international experience acquired with ETSEQ, and he hopes that his contributions will serve to show the value ETSEQ has for society.
